C11000 (ETP) contains a small amount of oxygen (0.02-0.04%), which helps in conductivity but can lead to hydrogen embrittlement if welded in a hydrogen-rich atmosphere. C10100 (OFE) is 99.99% pure and oxygen-free, making it ideal for high-vacuum applications and electronics requiring high-purity brazing.
Can C11000 copper be used for CNC machining? +
While C11000 is highly ductile, its machinability rating is approximately 20% compared to free-cutting brass. For complex parts, we often recommend our Tellurium Copper (C14500) which offers similar conductivity with significantly better machining speeds.
